Dear Beacon Families,

As you know, we focus on a special character attribute each month. In January we focused on giving. In February we wil focus on compassion. In March our focus will be responsibility.

Additionally, we have altered our school rules into 3 simple, yet profound statements: Take care of others; Take care of yourself; and Take care of this place.

Just this past week our Student Council received three suberb ideas for the Beacon community to bring to life our focus on the character attributes and rules mentioned above. The Student Council joins me in asking that your family consider choosing one of these suggested ideas to learn together what giving, compassion, responsibility and taking care of others looks like in day to day living. Talk about the options, choose one -or another of your own design- and feel free to share stories of your discoveries as they unfold.
